Mt Isa Family Fun Park

Mount Isa is a Copper and Zinc mining town in the Gulf Country of outback Queensland.

Brief

One of our biggest and remote projects to date, Copper City had its challenges from start to finish.

Mount Isa is a Copper and Zinc mining town in the Gulf Country of outback Queensland (not far from the NT border).

The creative architects wanted us to make the impossible – possible, along with the pressure of having the project completed in time for Mount Isa’s 100 Year celebrations.

Range

Part of the challenging design brief was to install the main towers on mounds, symbolising the surrounding terrain.

Three Elevate towers were joined by rope bridges (manufactured externally to Forpark) spanning 7.7m and 6.2m in length, and the roofs were custom made.

‘Pearlescent Pearl Copper’ paint was specified to be used throughout the project.
The Family Fan Park was opened with great fan fare by MP Bob Katter and Council dignitaries.

Product

Elevate will challenge children physically while providing a fun, safe place for them to let their imaginations run wild. Your playground can now be taller, creating a statement and our bridges and joiners are longer to add to the thrill of crossing from one platform to another.
